HUMANISM IN THE CURRICULUM

Berkshire Humanist Appendix submission to Reading SACRE for the Berkshire Agreed Syllabus In 2005 Berkshire Humanists were invited by the Reading SACRE to submit an appendix covering Humanism to be included with the relaunch of the Agreed Syllabus possibly covering all Berkshire schools.

The download above shows the syllabus that was the last to be submitted before it was rejected for unknown reasons. Subsequent attempts to find out reasons and exactly who was objecting have failed so far. It was the fourth submission after trying to fit the syllabus to the accepted format as laid down by the QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority). We are prepared to fit the needs of Berkshire schools at any time but possibly only when monies have been allocated on a fair basis towards meeting costs for any further re-adjustments.
